Welcome to the website of Award Winning Wildlife Photographer Brian Phipps. Brian is based in the South West of England, regarded as one of the foremost areas in Britain for outstanding beauty.

Brian concentrates exclusively on British Countryside, travelling the length and breadth of Great Britain in search of his quarry. He is often quoted as saying that 'there is far too much in this country for me to photograph in my lifetime! Why bother going elsewhere!' This has resulted in a huge selection of amazing images covering most British subjects all captured over the last decade.

But it doesn't just stop there; for a breather in the summer he visits many air shows, which are his other passion. The famous Red Arrows website recently featured a selection of his images. Commissions also take him to other areas as diverse as Horse Racing, Conservation, Country Sports, Boats, Aviation, Property, Farming, Bridges, and the list goes on and on!!

Out of all the hundreds of places he visits, the West Country is his home, and Brian can often be found out and about looking for ways to improve, update his images and look for new ideas. With so many opportunities in his local region, he never seems to put his camera down - which shows in the amazing images you see today.

You will notice straight away that Deer and Owls feature prominently and are a particular favourite. He has had so many close encounters with these subjects that he is hooked and, each time when out photographing for them, he learns more, and it keeps him coming back again; this is where he excels. He is known for producing exceptional images in adverse conditions and has a reputation in this area that is second to none; in fact, he was recently described as one of the West Country's leading photographers.

Brian's articles and pictures can be seen regularly in publications, shops, on calendars, greetings cards, books and much more all over Britain. His range of clients vary from someone just wanting a picture to hang on the wall to Government bodies needing pictures to enhance their companies' work. He has won various photographic competitions including the British Deer Society, Environment Agency and BBC Wild Link. Brian supplies 3 images libraries with pictures and regularly writes for the Western Daily Press and Amateur Photographer magazine.

All his images are for sale and available for commercial use. All commercial prices are very negotiable and he will not be beaten on price.
